WHAT HAPPENS?
A chemical solution is applied to the skin in one or more layers and is left on the skin to be absorbed. The chemical damages the skin in a controlled manner as the damage is repaired by the natural healing process the appearance of the skin is improved. Over the next several days the skin will slowly peel off revealing new skin. The level of peeling and the amount of peeling depends on the concentration of acids in the peel, how many layers are applied and the amount of time before the peel is neutralized.
