ARE FAKE LASHES WORTH LOSING AN EYE?

I was sent a picture today of a woman that had a ridiculously red and swollen eye and wish I could’ve shared the photo, but it’s all bandaged up. This isn’t the first picture that I’ve seen where women have had issues with their eye being swollen shut or damaged to some degree.  I have seen it time and time again….fake lashes being applied with hair bonding glue. Please note that HAIR BONDING GLUE IS FOR WEAVE NOT LASHES. Lashes are too delicate to take this super strong type of adhesive and I’m sure you’ve noticed that women who consistently wear them have NONE. Why? because the glue has taken them out. The adhesives are properly named Hair Bonding Glue vs. Lash Glue so why put something on your eye are that is not meant for the eyes?

Guess what? It specifically states on the back of the bottle “DO NOT USE ON EYES”. Please know there is a reason that caution statement is on the bottle.  The major ingredient is latex and lash glue is natural rubber. Lash glue is specifically formulated for eyes, which is why it’s safer.
I know many people use it so that they will last longer, but strips and clusters are only meant to last 24-72 hours.
I know this glue is often used in the cheaper nail shops and to be honest most of them are only licensed as a nail tech and have NO BUSINESS applying lashes. They could care less about your well being and just want your $$$$.

There are 3 types of lash applications
Strips (typically last for about 24 hours)
Clusters (commonly referred to as individuals) can last 2-3 days. They are clusters not individuals.
Individual lashes are the lashes that are applied one by one and takes approximately 2-2.5 hours to apply and cost $150-$300.

The next time you go for a lash app RUN if they pull out hair bonding glue or ask if they can use lash glue!!!!  salon-pro-hair-bonding-glue-1-oz
